SUMMARY:ACEEE: Behavior\, Energy & Climate Change (BECC) Conference
DESCRIPTION:BECC is the premier conference focused on understanding human behavior and decision-making and using that knowledge to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon future. Since 2007\, BECC has fostered understanding individual and organizational behavior and decision-making related to energy usage\, greenhouse gas emissions\, climate change\, and sustainability. BECC is more than just a conference—it is a fun social community that is passionate and excited about mitigating climate change. The event\, co-convened by ACEEE\, prides itself on finding innovative ways to encourage socializing and networking while providing the highest-quality presentations.

SUMMARY:Manufacturer Roundtable: Air Source Heat Pumps
DESCRIPTION:Air source heat pumps for space heating are a key technology in helping individuals\, building owners and communities move towards rapid electrification and decarbonization. The roundtable will feature panelists from leading air source heat pump manufacturers who will share the latest research\, developments\, and updates on their products. \n\n\nThis online roundtable will explore the different heat pump technologies – from ductless to ducted systems – and highlight which heat pump configurations work best in varying applications\, climates\, building types\, and budgets. \nPanelists \nShawn LeMons\, Performance Construction Manager\, Mitsubishi Electric Trane U.S. | Shawn is focused on efficient cooling and heating systems for residential new construction. He has multiple certifications including LEED Green Rater\, HERS Rater and ICC Residential Energy Inspector. He has 25 years of experience in the residential building industry with small and large companies\, non profits\, and volunteer work. Since 2009\, he has completed analysis on over 6 million square feet of residential and commercial buildings. \nJonathan Moscatello\, Business Development Manager\, Daikin North America | Jonathan is a nationally regarded expert in residential contracting and heat pumps and a co-owner of The Heat Pump Store\, a heat pump only contracting business based in Oregon that has installed heat pumps in over 20\,000 homes. Sarah\, his wife\, runs the contracting business while Jonathan consults with utility programs\, contractors\, and distributors to help them grow their heat pump business. In 2021\, Jonathan joined Daikin to help the company participate more fully in electrification initiatives. \nMark Thomson\, Senior Business Development Consultant\, LG Electronics | Mark is an experienced energy demand side management leader\, having held key positions in both the utility and vendor sectors\, most recently with LG Electronics in Englewood Cliffs\, New Jersey\, as Senior Business Development Consultant from June 2020. Mark has a Master’s Degree in Energy Economics from the University of Texas at Austin and an undergraduate degree from Hamilton College. \nSuzi Asmus\, Senior Program Manager\, Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance | She has been managing NEEA’s Residential HVAC programs since 2015\, initially with the Ductless Heat Pump Program and now with the newly-launched Advanced Heat Pump Program. As a liberal arts degree holder\, she is shocked every day how much she loves learning about the nitty gritty of residential HVAC and heat pumps. \nManufacturers Roundtable and Webinar Series: Decarbonizing Commercial Buildings in California\nThis is the fourth of four online sessions where we talk about electrification and decarbonization with manufacturers of key technologies including central heat pump water heaters\, all electric commercial kitchens\, residential heat pump water heaters\, and air source heat pumps.
