SUMMARY:Optimizing Ducted Heat Pumps for Residential Electrification: Efficiency Comfort and Low Loss Duct Systems
DESCRIPTION:This three hour class  will deal with low loss duct systems. The relevant performance factors are: duct leakage\, duct conduction\, room by room airflow\, and system airflow. We will review design\, installation and commissioning details as they relate to duct system performance for each of these performance factors. These performance factors can be applied to both conditioning and ventilation system ducts. We have designed\, built and commissioned both retrofit and new construction projects that exemplify the concepts covered in class. Course content will include design examples\, photos installations\, and test results from commissioning.

SUMMARY:Ask the Experts: Load Calculations
DESCRIPTION:This is an office-hours style open discussion about heating and cooling load calculations. \nBring your questions about load calculations procedures\, specific and general. Ask about data collection for a load calculation\, choosing design conditions\, how a load calculation can help you make recommendations for creating a lower load home\, whatever is on your mind regarding heating and cooling load calculations. \nOur expert won’t leave you out in the cold or put you in the hot seat.  The goal is always to provide a comfortable\, safe environment.

SUMMARY:IHACI - NATE HVAC Support Training Part 4
DESCRIPTION:This four-part training module is designed for HVAC/R technicians who have been in the field between six and 12 months. The series launches with HVAC/R safety to prevent jobsite accidents and injuries\, electrical\, tools\, instruments and service equipment including the function of personal protective equipment and electrical safety practices. It details industry’s best practices for the installation and service\, system design\, client comfort and preventative maintenance. Training continues with system components\, proper design\, basic electricity for HVAC/R technicians and practical field techniques of air measurements including high voltage equipment and grounding procedures. The series concludes with preparing participants for the NATE HVAC Support Technician Certificate exam including an overview of the NATE exam structure\, test taking tips\, strategies and a practice exam with review. \nPART 4: NATE HVAC Support Certificate Exam \nPart Four prepares participants for the NATE HVAC Support Certificate exam\, providing an overview of the NATE exam structure\, what to expect\, test-taking tips and strategies and a 100-question practice exam including question review and explanation of correct answers. \nTarget Audience: Installers\, Services Technicians\, Contractors\, Maintenance and Facility Professionals \nLevel: Beginning to Introduction (0 – 1 year) \nNote to Attendees \nThis class is eligible for NATE CEH credits.  Attendees must register for each class separately.
