Learn how to implement electrification without the need for costly service panel upgrades. \nSpeakers: \nLarry Waters: \n“42 years in the HVAC trade\, I finally know what I want to do with my life.”\nTen years of Industrial and Commercial systems\, including chillers\, boilers\, large package equipment\, built-up systems etc. In 1992 shifted focus to residential as a service technician and then as a sales professional\, since then contracted more than 20 mm of HVAC products. 2011 began concentrating on high-performance methodology as a BPI-certified building analyst. 2014 shifted Focus to high-efficiency heat pump installation to replace gas. Designing and implementing- installation of over 1000 electrification projects in the greater Bay area of California. Larry’s experience has made him well-known within the energy circles in the State of  California.  \nLarry started his all-electric gas conversion company\, Electrify My Home\, in 2019. Electrify My Home was awarded Green Builder Magazine 2021 Eco Leader. Electrify My Home has grown from 3 people just 3 years ago to a staff of 17 motivated\, excited electrification specialists. Larry acted as an advisory board member of the building decarbonization coalition and is still active as a Leading Light representative and consultant. Larry shares his experience as a consultant and advisor regarding electrification in the residential built environment with trade groups\, non-profits\, policy group peers\, and individual homeowners. Larry and his company Electrify My Home has delivered electrification-focused training to over 1000 groups and individuals in an effort to speed up the adoption of efficient electrification in California. \nTom Kabat: \nTom Kabat is a mechanical engineer with more than 40 years of experience in hands-on building science\, utility program design\, implementation\, and utility resource planning. Tom partners with others in electrification design projects for dozens of homes\, co-authoring guides to electrification and developing a Power Efficient Design practice\, aka “Watt Diet” technique\, for making the electrification of buildings easier without upsizing the electric panel. He does contractor training in power efficient design for TECH Clean CA program events and for Electrify My Home TECH contractor cohort training. He co-developed a popular PG&E online video class on electrifying without upsizing the electric panel. He co-authored SB 68 legislation to have the CEC develop a site and content on power-efficient design.   \nModerator: \nCharley Cormany: \nMr. Cormany is the Executive Director of Efficiency First California (EFCA). His experience includes over ten years as a Home Performance contractor for three companies\, including his own.
