SUMMARY:2025 Title 24\, Part 6 Essentials — Single-family Standards for HVAC Contractor Installers
DESCRIPTION:This highly interactive online live course addresses general principles and hands-on application for contractors installing HVAC equipment to ensure compliance with California’s 2025 Single-family Building Energy Efficiency Standards (Title 24\, Part 6 or the Energy Code). The course includes examples\, demonstrations and individual hands-on practice\, and addresses: \n\nWhen the 2025 Energy Code does and does not apply to a single-family HVAC project\nWhich requirements are triggered when you’re just changing out part of an HVAC system\nWhat the compliance process is\nWhen you need to involve an ECC Rater\nWorksheets that will help you collect and organize the information you need to enter into a ECC registry in order to generate applicable CF2R forms

SUMMARY:2025 Code Breaker: Energy Code Compliance Forms: A Goldmine of Design Insights!
DESCRIPTION:Is complying with the Energy Code just another chore? It doesn’t have to be! Gain valuable insight into your projects\, collaborate with your team\, AND build buildings that support Zero Net Carbon (ZNCD) goals via lower energy use and operational carbon. Join us for this one-hour session. See how to transform energy code compliance from a tedious task into a strategic advantage for your architectural practice. \nLearning Objectives:\n1. Determine Energy Code requirements based on project scope of work and project goals such compliance to the Energy Code\, Zero Net Carbon Design (ZNCD) and LEED.\n2. Identify the various compliance pathways available and determine which option is most appropriate for the project goals.\n3. Verify that design documents align with the Certificate of Compliance\, and satisfy the project goals\, using the Certificate of Compliance as a comprehensive checklist.\n4. Employ the performance approach to offer guidance on measuring energy usage and operational carbon of the proposed project goals. \nSME/Instructor Bio:\nMartyn C. Dodd\, Instructor\, Energy Code Ace\nHaving written software used in California for Title 24 energy code compliance since 1984\, Mr. Dodd is principal of EnergySoft\, a Bay Area company that specializes in performance-based energy analysis for Title 24 and LEED. He is one of the original authors of the 1992 Nonresidential Alternative Calculation Method (ACM) manual\, which defined the rules for code compliance software\, and became the model for both national and international code compliance software procedures. Mr. Dodd has been involved in the California standards development process for the past 5 decades and has consulted on the Title 24 rules and procedures extensively in that time.
