IHACI – NATE HVAC Support Training Part 3

This four-part training module is designed for HVAC/R technicians who have been in the field between six and 12 months. The series launches with HVAC/R safety to prevent jobsite accidents and injuries, electrical, tools, instruments and service equipment including the function of personal protective equipment and electrical safety practices. It details industry’s best practices for the installation and service, system design, client comfort and preventative maintenance. Training continues with system components, proper design, basic electricity for HVAC/R technicians and practical field techniques of air measurements including high voltage equipment and grounding procedures. The series concludes with preparing participants for the NATE HVAC Support Technician Certificate exam including an overview of the NATE exam structure, test taking tips, strategies and a practice exam with review.

PART 3: System Components, Proper Design Considerations of the HVAC/R Systems, and Practical Field Techniques of Air Measurements

Part Three details basic electricity for HVAC/R technicians, electrical symbols and components, reading and understanding wiring diagrams, measurements basics for HVAC/R applications and types of heat and heat transfer.
