Join us for an overview of the California Energy Code requirements for design review and building commissioning! The course will emphasize the roles and responsibilities of various stakeholders involved in the design, construction and commissioning process including the activities of building commissioning providers, architects, design engineers, facility owners, and Acceptance Test Technicians (ATTs).

Learning Objectives:
1. Outline the commissioning activities required by Title 24 Part 6 (Energy Code) and describe how these activities are to be documented.
2. Recognize the roles and responsibilities of various stakeholders in the design, construction, acceptance, and commissioning process.
3. Determine the required Acceptance Testing requirements for new construction, nonresidential projects.
4. Explain how Acceptance Test Technicians are trained and certified to perform the required acceptance tests defined in the Energy Code.

Martyn C. Dodd, Instructor, Energy Code Ace
Having written software used in California for Title 24 energy code compliance since 1984, Mr. Dodd is principal of EnergySoft, a Bay Area company that specializes in performance-based energy analysis for Title 24 and LEED. He is one of the original authors of the 1992 Nonresidential Alternative Calculation Method (ACM) manual, which defined the rules for code compliance software, and became the model for both national and international code compliance software procedures. Mr. Dodd has been involved in the California standards development process for the past 5 decades and has consulted on the Title 24 rules and procedures extensively in that time.
